The papapp application (hereinafter referred to as "Application") is committed to protecting the privacy of our users (hereinafter referred to as "you"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our Application, which is specifically designed for couples.
1. Information We Collect
To support the core functionality of the Application, we collect certain personal and technical information from your device:
A. Actively Collected Information
- Precise Location: The Application captures your real-time GPS coordinates only when you record a PAP video. This is used to embed a verified location stamp (street name, subdistrict, city, province) onto the video. We do not collect your location in the background.
- Camera and Microphone: We require permission to access your device's camera and microphone to record a live PAP video of up to 30 seconds. Video uploads from the gallery are completely blocked to ensure the authenticity of the moment.
- Financial & Transaction Info: When you subscribe to the premium service of the Application via Google Play Billing, we collect transaction history to verify and maintain your active subscription status. All transactions are securely processed by Google Play's payment system.
- Account Authentication Data: We collect registration information such as your email address or phone number (via Firebase Authentication) to create your account and pair it with your partner's account.
B. Technical & Device Information
- Device ID: We collect your device's unique hardware identifier (Android ID) to enforce our 1 Device 1 Account security policy. This prevents account abuse or unauthorized device transfers without your partner's consent.
- Anti-Fake GPS & Mock Location Info: Our system reads developer mode status and any installed mock location apps on your device to verify the authenticity of your video's location stamp.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide the core service of sending text messages and live PAP videos with precise location stamps to your paired partner.
- To detect the use of fake locations to maintain trust and integrity between partners.
- To lock an account to a single physical device to prevent unauthorized access.
- To process payments, update premium status, and manage your monthly/annual subscriptions.
- To send instant push notifications when your partner sends a new message or PAP video.
3. Data Sharing
We never sell, rent, or share your personal data (including location, videos, and chat history) with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
Your information is only shared with third-party service providers who securely assist in our Application operations (encrypted in transit and at rest):
- Google Firebase (Firestore & Storage): To store your real-time chat messages and PAP video files.
- Google Firebase Authentication: To secure your login process.
- Google Play Billing: To securely process subscription payments.
4. Data Security and Retention
- Encryption: All data transmitted between the Application and the server is encrypted using secure HTTPS protocols (encryption in transit). Video files are stored in Firebase Storage with strict access control rules.
- Data Retention: We store your data for as long as your account is active and paired with your partner. You can unpair or delete your account at any time.

6. User Rights & Data Deletion
You have full control over your own data. Your rights include:
- Access and Update Data: You can view your profile and chat history directly within the Application.
- Account and Data Deletion: You can request account deletion at any time through the settings menu in the Application or online via the papapp Account Deletion Page. Once the account is deleted, all your profile data, pairing relationships, chat history, and videos on the server will be permanently deleted from the database within 30 days.
